LAST WEEK

It is officially the VERY LAST WEEK OF M3 YEAR! Can you tell I'm excited? We have survived 47 weeks of clinics, inpatient units, and procedures and we are almost done!! So much excitement! 

Today I went to my doctors office to get some immunization forms signed, and turns out she doesn't work there anymore. I still got everything signed okay and got a titer drawn a well to prove I'm immune to varicella. Fun times. I actually watched my blood get drawn which was so good of me! Way too proud. After that I had my last family planning clinic and then our last lecture of the year.

Now two more work days, a day off, two exams, and then we're done! Woo hoo! 

And also, congrats to Christine on passing her OSCEs! Told ya you did just fine girl!! 

Why, hello there!

It has come to my attention that I have been slacking on my blog lately. Sorry! My life has been full of OB for the past few weeks and it has been great actually. I really enjoyed my labor and delivery shifts, both the day shifts and the night shifts. I saw a mix of natural deliveries, C-sections, antepartum admission, and post partum mothers with their new babies. I also saw a shunt placed into a baby still in utero! It was a really cool two weeks, to the point where I will likely do my sub-internship next year in maternal fetal medicine, which works on the inpatient antepartum service and potentially gets to participate in some deliveries. It should be interesting. I am now on the Triage service, which is where any pregnant women comes when she thinks something is wrong or she is in labor, etc. It is basically the pregnant women's ER. Its pretty great and I am enjoying it for sure!

In other news, I have less than 2 weeks left of third year. This year was long but also went by very fast! It is so crazy that we've finally reached the end. I got my Psych grade today, which I am happy with, so all thats left is to finish up OBGYN strong! Yay. I am going to Florida after OB to sail with my mom and go to Disneyworld and Universal (aka Harry Potter World FINALLY) and planning all of that is crazy exciting! Woo hoo!!

They love Molly much more than Molly loves them. The love is best demonstrated when she is eating dinner and they want to climb all over her and she is having NONE of it.
