On to EM

Today I started my Emergency Medicine rotation. It is my last required rotation of medical school!! Today in orientation I had to let someone poke me with an IV, and I did NOT enjoy it. I had to voluntarily lay on the floor after because I felt very nauseous. The person I was paired with couldn't take the pain and I didn't even really end up getting to practice on my own. Oh well. Hopefully this rotation is okay, though I must say I am looking forward to the 15 weeks off of any real rotations that follows this, plus the 4 weeks of travel and working in Peru after that! Luckily in this rotation I have a mid rotation weekend in CA and I end the rotation with a week in San Diego with my dad. Fun times!!

    1. Sort of... Four weeks are for a required online class I have to take the last week of October and the first three weeks of November. Eight weeks are time off to interview for residency. Three weeks are our official "winter break," though some interviews will start back up during the last of those weeks.
