Goodbye MI, see ya in August!

Today I headed out from Ann Arbor for the summer to begin my exciting adventures and headed off to NYC! My friend drove me to the airport and I flew here without a hitch. I had a ridiculously amazing view flying into Washington National airport where I had my layover. We came in right next to the Washington, Lincoln, and Jefferson monuments with close views of the Smithonians and the Capitol building. It was all right before landing too so we were quite low. So pretty! Wish my camera had been out.

My hotel in NYC is pretty awesome. I am staying in the New York Palace Hotel and it is beautiful. Very comfortable for my last night in the states. I went down to the West Village for dinner and had a slice of Joe's Pizza and some cookies from Milk and Cookies, yumm. I then saw the puppies and they were so cute. There was a little Maltese puppy chasing his tail and sometimes e would catch it and run in circle with his tail in his mouth. Adorable I also met up with my friend for a bit and it was great to catch up. Tomorrow I will see a few more friends as well. Now I'm getting ready for bed as I'm quite tired. Off to Belgium tomorrow night and after a quick few hours in Brussels it's in finally off to Africa!
