Ballybunion and Arriving in Lahinch

Sorry it's been a bit since I've posted, but when I've been in the hotel/B&B lately all I've wanted to do is relax since I've been a little sick. Congestion is the worst and I can't wait to be able to breathe again!

So onto Ballybunion! It is quite a small town with only 1,200 residents according to a pub owner. I already wrote about dinner the first night so I'll move on to the first full day. We woke up and I dropped dad off at the Ballbunion Golf Club to play his round and then I promptly return to the B&B for some R&R. I relaxed a bit, had a wonderful breakfast, took and bath and a shower, did some laundry, and relaxed again. Dad decided to play 27 holes so he wasn't done until around 2pm so I had plenty of time to be lazy, which was great since I felt crummy.

When I picked him up we found somewhere to eat lunch, which was surprisingly hard because most places we're closed for some reason, and we found a great place called Cashen Bar. We actually ended up chatting with the owner through the entire meal which was awesome! She was quite full of local knowledge. After lunch we walked around a bit on the beach and by the tiny remain of Ballybunion Castle before returning to the room. We watched some TV, including Gossip Girl and Britain's Got Talent before having a large and delicious dinner at Promenade. A great day overall with only a bit of rain!

Today we had another amazing breakfast at the B&B before heading out to drive up to Lahinch. We took the shortest route, which included a 20 minutes car ferry, and arrived here around 1pm. We were able to check in and go get some pizza by the water for lunch. We decided to do some sightseeing too and went to the beautiful cliffs of moher and drove around a bit. We also finally saw gram and gramps tonight!! It was great to see them and they seen to be having a good time thus far on their trip. After a quick catch up dad and I had dinner at a nearby pub. Tomorrow everyone will play the old course at Lahinch and I will have another lazy morning!
